Summer Schedule Starts April 14 and Runs Through November 28
We all like getting out on the open road during the summer and SST drivers are no different and plan to shift into summer operations on Monday, April 14. SST summer service enjoys similar routes as last season with a few minor changes to times for a couple of stops.
“Who said nothing in life is free?” said Transit Manager Jonathan Flint. “At SST, every ride on the local bus is free – every day, every route, every time! SST operates one of the most efficient rural transportation systems in Colorado, so I urge you to hop aboard and leave the driving to us.”
The Main Line sees a continuous loop with 20-minute service between west Steamboat Springs, downtown and the mountain with no transfer required. New this summer, buses will stop in the Gondola Transit Center (GTC) twice (West-Downtown-GTC-Condos/Hotels-GTC-Downtown-West) instead of once as they did last year.

The first Main Line buses of the day depart The Ponds at 6:11am (Hotel & Condos), GTC at 6:24am (town-bound) and at 6:20am from Stockbridge (mountain-bound). The last departures of the day leave Stockbridge at 7:40pm, The Ponds at 8:11pm and GTC at 8:24pm.
The Night Line returns with 30-minute service with the first and last bus from Stockbridge at 8pm/11pm, The Ponds at 8:31pm/11:31pm and the GTC at 8:44pm/11:44pm. With the completion of the new Ski Time Square turnaround, SST will return to serving that stop.
Whether you are a die-hard two-wheel commuter or recreational bike rider, SST’s local fleet is fitted with bike racks should you run out of gas or need that extra lift. SST will operate additional service for the Memorial Day Tribute, July 4th Celebration, and other summer special events.
The successful Yellow Zone, a free, on-demand ride service, transitions from winter to summer. Simply download the app and request on-demand rides within the service area from 7am-6:20pm. The Yellow Zone includes downtown and many surrounding neighborhoods. Transfers are required to go to West, the Ski Area, or Condos/Hotels.
SST’s Regional service between Steamboat Springs and Craig makes traveling between these communities convenient, affordable, and comfortable with two daily departures in each direction as well as reverse direction service. The bus begins with a full loop around Craig and then heads to Steamboat Springs at 5:15am and 6:15am. In the afternoon, the coach departs the GTC heading west at 4:25pm and 5:25pm. SST’s regional rates remain the same as this past summer.
