“Keep Me Honest” – Michael Marcagi
Michael Marcagi, an American singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio, has recently released his latest single, “Keep Me Honest.” The track features a compelling foot-stomping hook, highlighted by Marcagi’s distinctive electric guitar solo, and showcases his signature blend of Americana and alternative influences. Michael Marcagi, the Cincinnati-based folk-rock singer-songwriter known for his earnest storytelling and blend of Americana traditions, is scheduled to perform at the Strings Music Pavilion in Steamboat Springs on March 9, 2025, at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the event start at $34.50.
“Plead” – Ashley Kutcher
The song “Plead” is featured on her EP Play Responsibly, which was announced in September 2024. “Plead” showcases Kutcher’s emotionally charged country-pop style, resonating with listeners through its heartfelt lyrics and melodies. One major reason we are adding this song to our rotation at this time is that Ashley Kutcher will be opening for Michael Marcagi in the aforementioned concert at Strings on March 9, 2025, and we want to help familiarize you with her music before the show.
“King of the Low” – Mihali with Moon Taxi
“King of the Low” is a collaborative single by Mihali and Moon Taxi, released on December 13, 2024. Produced by Moon Taxi’s Spencer Thomson, the track explores the pursuit of an artist’s unique sound. Mihali described it as “the eternal quest for ‘your sound,’ something all musicians strive for, and something that often takes a long time to figure out.” Mihali released this song just over a week after playing in Yampa at the Antlers Cafe.
“Colorado Girl” – Chance Peña
Chance Peña’s song “Colorado Girl” is a heartfelt tribute to a woman from Colorado, capturing the essence of her spirit and the beauty of the state. In a TikTok video, Peña shares a snippet of the song, expressing his affection with the line, “That loving Colorado girl of mine.”
“Magpie” – Peach Pit
“Magpie” is the title track from Peach Pit’s album released on October 25, 2024. The song is characterized by its fast-paced tempo and catchy melody, blending upbeat rhythms with melancholic undertones. The album “Magpie” features a mix of upbeat and introspective songs, with lyrics focusing on themes of love, longing, and self-reflection. The instrumental arrangements include notable guitar solos and energetic backgrounds, maintaining the band’s signature sound. Peach Pit is scheduled to play Red Rocks on June 1, 2025.
