Working Together to Support Adventure and an Active Lifestyle: Song Requests for a Cause
To further our commitment to preserving the active Steamboat lifestyle, The Steamboat Group and Steamboat Locals are launching a special initiative for the month of July. For every song request made on the Steamboat Locals Choice for Music during July, The Steamboat Group will donate $1 to Cycle Effect and $1 to Routt County Riders, up to $500 total. This initiative not only supports these valuable programs but also encourages our community to engage with and celebrate the spirit of Steamboat Springs.These organizations align perfectly with our mission to foster an active lifestyle and enhance the outdoor experiences that make Steamboat special.
The Cycle Effect
The Cycle Effect is an inspiring organization dedicated to empowering young women through mountain biking. Their mission is to provide young women the opportunity to build self-esteem and achieve personal growth through the sport of mountain biking. By fostering a love for biking and the outdoors, The Cycle Effect helps these young women develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong passion for adventure.
Through comprehensive programs that include mountain bike coaching, mentorship, and leadership development, The Cycle Effect not only promotes physical activity but also strengthens the community by creating a supportive environment for young women to thrive.
Routt County Riders
Routt County Riders is a local organization that plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the trail systems in and around Steamboat Springs. Their mission is to advocate for, develop, and maintain sustainable trails for mountain biking and other non-motorized outdoor activities. By working closely with land managers, volunteers, and other stakeholders, Routt County Riders ensures that our trails remain accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
In addition to trail maintenance, Routt County Riders also focuses on safety and education, providing valuable resources and information to help outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the trails responsibly.
