Mark Fitzgerald’s journey to leading Better Tomorrow is both unique and inspiring. After moving to Steamboat Springs in 2006, Mark’s career path included roles in information technology with IBM, a position at Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp., and co-founding Butcherknife Brewing Co. His commitment to community service led him to join the Advocates of Routt County Board of Directors in 2018. He later became the Director of Operations, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Brighter World Child Advocacy Center. This center serves children who are victims of abuse across Routt, Moffat, and Grand counties. Under Mark’s leadership, the organization evolved into Better Tomorrow, encompassing both Advocates of Routt County and the Brighter World Child Advocacy Center.
Better Tomorrow’s mission is to serve as an innovative nonprofit home, cultivating programs that empower individuals at risk of harm. The organization focuses on advocacy and inspiring courage among those they serve. Their vision is to lead the nonprofit community by continuously improving program success and delivering a broader impact.
