The inaugural Colorado West Filmmakers Forum will be held in Steamboat Springs on October 19, and is specially designed for filmmakers living on the west side of the Divide, along with community members and support services aspiring to work in the creative industry.
The free event on Saturday October 19 from 9am to 4pm will feature workshop sessions covering topics including marketing your video business, storytelling using the medium of video, tips and tricks on working with clients, and a special presentation by Donald Zuckerman, Colorado Film Commissioner, on how the State of Colorado Film Incentives work and how filmmakers can take advantage of it.
An optional Location Scouting Tour of potential filming locations in and around Steamboat Springs will occur on Friday October 18, and will showcase some of the area’s lesser-known scenic filming locations. Cost for the guided tour is $99, limited spots available.
