Eli has the opportunity to talk to Hans Williams.
Hans Williams is a Vermont-born singer-songwriter whose music blends alt-pop with folk influences, creating a wistful and stirring soundscape that resonates deeply with listeners. He first gained attention with his 2020 single “Body on My Shoulders,” a song inspired by the tragic loss of his college floormate to suicide, which he discovered firsthand. This experience profoundly shaped his music, leading to subsequent releases like “All Is Well,” where he explores themes of grief, guilt, and the cathartic process of opening up about trauma.
Hans continues to develop his music career while maintaining a strong connection to his roots. His songs, often described as “messages to himself,” are crafted with the intention of providing solace to others who may be dealing with similar hardships.
On September 28th, 2024, Hans Williams will be performing at the REPS Night of Hope and Healing event at the Old Town Pub in Steamboat Springs. This special evening, organized by REPS (Reaching Everyone Preventing Suicide), aims to raise awareness for mental health and support their Youth & Adult Counseling programs in the Yampa Valley. The event will feature live music, including Williams’ performance, along with a silent auction, in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
